Sanaa warns Saudi regime against militarization of Red Sea

SANAA, July 31 (YPA) – The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa has stated that “the Saudi regime is weaving a spider’s web to protect its siege and criminality against the Yemeni people,” while seeking to undermine freedom of international navigation in the Red Sea.

“The region and the world must understand that our battle with the unjust Saudi enemy is to restore our rights and lift the siege on our country—this is a legitimate demand,” the ministry said in an official statement.

The ministry advised countries that the Saudi enemy has rallied “not to allow the Saudi regime to drag them into its unjust and losing battles,” noting that “the Saudi regime is in a historic predicament, and there is no sensible person on earth who would seek to entangle themselves with the Saudis.”

It added: “If all people of earth were to unite to prevent the Yemeni people from obtaining their legitimate rights, failure would be their ally.”

The statement warned that “any military presence in the Red Sea will create instability and affect the safe navigation currently in place.” It emphasized that “navigation in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea is safe, and there is no truth to any rumors about fees or similar matters.”

In concluding the statement, the ministry renewed its affirmation “that the siege targets the Saudi enemy alone, and that we are still in the early stages of fully lifting the siege and fully restoring our rights, complete and undiminished.”
