Hamas: No talk of heavy weapons without ending the aggression and withdrawing from Gaza

GAZA, July 31 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas affirmed, on Friday, that any agreement regarding the inclusion of the “heavy weapons” file is contingent upon a complete cessation of Israeli aggression and withdrawal from Gaza, achieving early recovery, the entry of the Administrative Committee, the deployment of international protection forces, the disbanding of militias formed by the occupation, reconstruction, and guaranteeing the right to self-determination and the establishment of a Palestinian state.

In a press statement, Hamas said that it and the factions dealt positively with the mediators’ proposals to complete the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, in a spirit of national partnership aimed at protecting the people and meeting their needs.

It stressed that the occupation’s commitment to halting the killing and ending its attacks is the entry point for starting implementation and setting a timetable, and that the implementation of the second phase is conditional upon the implementation of all the provisions of the first phase.

Hamas and other factions saluted the steadfast people of Gaza, affirming their continued cooperation to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people.
