Armed clashes erupt in Taiz’s Mocha

TAIZ, April 14 (YPA) – Armed clashes erupted on Tuesday in Mocha city, west of Taiz, an area controlled by the UAE-backed forces loyal to Tariq Saleh, the nephew of the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Local sources said the fighting broke out between tribal gunmen from the Al-Tanaihi and Al-Jabara groups in the Riffa area, involving various types of weapons.

According to the sources, the clashes were triggered by a dispute over a plot of land, amid ongoing security instability in areas under the control of those factions.
