Saudi-backed factions release 1,000 prisoners, arm them to fight in Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 15 (YPA) – Saudi-backed factions in Taiz city have released around 1,000 inmates from the city’s prisons and armed them for deployment to front lines inside the city, sources familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

According to the sources, those released reportedly included Mohammed Marsh and Jassar Al-Mikhlafi, two prominent suspects in the killing of Iftihan al-Mashhari, head of the governorate’s Cleaning Fund.
