TEHRAN, April 12 (YPA) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of Iranian Parliament, said on Sunday that the United States had failed to earn Iran’s trust following the latest round of talks.
In a series of posts on X, Ghalibaf stated that Iran had entered negotiations with goodwill, but past experiences and recent developments prevented confidence in the opposing side.
He noted that the Iranian delegation had presented constructive proposals, but said the U.S. ultimately failed to convince Tehran during the negotiations, adding that Washington now faces a choice on whether it can build that trust.
Ghalibaf emphasized that Iran pursues what he described as a “diplomacy of power” alongside military readiness to secure its rights, stressing continued efforts to consolidate gains made during the recent period of national defense.
He also expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in facilitating the talks, while praising the Iranian public for its support.
