Israeli warplanes strike home in Jenin, killing several Palestinians

JENIN, Aug. 28 (YPA) – Israeli warplanes struck a home in the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank on Friday killing a number of Palestinians, as large numbers of Israeli occupation forces  stormed the area surrounding the targeted site, the Palestinian Information Center reported, citing local sources.

According to the sources, Israeli aircraft targeted a home in the Harsh al-Saada area, west of Jenin refugee camp, inflicting yet unspecified number of casualties. Large occupation troops then stormed the area, imposed a tight security cordon around the site and prevented people from approaching.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews received a report of an Israeli strike targeting a home in Jenin and dispatched teams to the scene to respond to the aftermath, but were blocked by the occupation forces.

The occupation military, meanwhile, said its aircraft carried out what it claimed was a “precise” strike targeting a number of Palestinian resistance fighters in Jenin.

The extent of the damage and the number of casualties remained unclear till time of writing, as Israeli forces continued to deploy around the targeted area.
