TEHRAN, March 10 (YPA) – Iran’s intelligence service declared on Tuesday that 30 alleged spies and internal collaborators linked to the United States and Israel enemy were arrested over the past several days, as part of ongoing efforts to counter espionage and sabotage activities inside Iran.
According to the intelligence service, the network was involved in collecting sensitive information related to national security, defense programs, and strategic industries. Officials said the arrests followed a series of surveillance operations and detailed analysis of the suspects’ movements.
The statement added that the suspects were planning acts of sabotage and targeting vital projects, but security forces thwarted the plans before they could be carried out.
The intelligence also said that continued coordination among various security agencies demonstrated the country’s capacity to counter any attempts by the United States and Israeli enemy to interfere in its internal affairs and undermine national sovereignty.
The agency stressed that anyone attempting to compromise Iran’s security or gather information about its defense capabilities will face prosecution and strict punishment.
Officials added that the operation reflected the growing capabilities of Iran’s intelligence and security services in detecting and dismantling complex espionage networks, while emphasizing that authorities would continue strengthening surveillance and protective measures against internal and external spying attempts.
