GAZA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The Director General of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Ismail al-Thawabta, warned that the ceasefire agreement is facing collapse due to the ongoing violations by the Israeli occupation since its implementation.
Al-Thawabta explained that the agreement is now at risk despite 111 days having passed since it came into effect, emphasizing that the occupation has not adhered to its terms and has committed more than 1,450 violations during this period, resulting in the deaths of more than 530 martyrs.
The Director of the Government Media Office held the occupation fully responsible for the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, issuing an urgent appeal to international parties and calling on the mediators and guarantor states of the agreement to intervene immediately to stop the violations.
Al-Thawabta also warned that international silence gives the occupation cover to continue committing more crimes, stressing that the inaction of the mediators and guarantors at this critical stage could lead to “dramatic changes” aimed at a complete collapse of the agreement.
