GAZA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – Four Palestinians were killed Tuesday morning in an Israeli air and artillery strike near the Al-Batsh cemetery in the Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City, Palestinian sources said, in a continued violation of the ceasefire.
The victims were identified as Mahmoud Ahmad Lolo, Abdulqader Abu Khodr, Abdul Karim Ghobain, and Youssef Al-Rifi.
Palestinian sources said Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes early Tuesday on the southern city of Rafah, coinciding with heavy fire from military vehicles.
Israeli artillery reportedly shelled eastern areas of Gaza City and Khan Younis, while naval forces targeted fishing boats off the coast of Khan Younis.
Since the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 11, more than 1,850 Palestinians have been killed or injured in over 1,300 violations of the truce by Israeli occupation forces, according to Palestinian authorities.
