Satellite images show Israeli expansion, fortifications in Gaza city

GAZA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces have extended the so-called “Yellow Line” in a neighborhood of Gaza City, signaling the imposition of an additional cordon over new areas within the city.

A Reuters report, based on recent satellite imagery, revealed that Israeli expansion has created a new reality on the ground, with buildings outside the truce line destroyed, indicating clear violations of previous boundaries.

The images also appeared the construction of military fortifications near the Yellow Line, reflecting efforts to strengthen field presence and consolidate control over additional areas of Gaza City.

The report said that these developments would constitute a ground-level escalation that could lead to further geographical changes in Gaza City, raising concerns over potential humanitarian and security repercussions.
