Israeli occupation forces raid West Bank, arrest six Palestinians including former prisoners

WEST BANK, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces raided several areas across the occupied West Bank early Thursday, arresting six Palestinians, including former prisoners.

Palestinian sources said that the occupation forces rearrested a former female detainee after storming and searching her family’s home in the village of Tayasir, east of Tubas, in the northern West Bank.

They also rearrested a former prisoner after raiding his family’s home in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.

At dawn on Thursday, the occupation forces arrested a young man after raiding his home in Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, south of Jericho, in the eastern West Bank, and another young man during an incursion into Al-Amari refugee camp, south of Al-Bireh, in the central West Bank.

Palestinian sources added that the occupation forces arrested two Palestinian youths from the town of Dar Salah, east of Bethlehem, and another from the town of Za’atara, east of the city, in the southern West Bank.

The occupation Israeli forces continue their incursion into the town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah, accompanied by house raids, a wide-scale arrest campaign, and field interrogations targeting dozens of Palestinians.

They also raided the village of Ras Karkar, west of Ramallah, storming two Palestinian homes after smashing their main doors.

Local residents reported that Israeli forces threatened a Palestinian youth with the arrest of his parents if he did not turn himself in, claiming he was “wanted.”

The Israeli raids also targeted the towns of Za’atara east of Bethlehem, Tammun south of Tubas, Turmus Ayya north of Ramallah, and Beit Ummar north of Hebron.

The occupation Israeli forces also raided a home during an incursion into the town of Silah al-Harithiya west of Jenin, in addition to the eastern neighborhood and the German Quarter of Jenin city.
