Sanaa Parliament warns against schemes to undermine Yemen’s unity

SANAA, Dec. 27 (YPA) – The Presidium of the House of Representatives in Sanaa, chaired by Speaker Yahya Al-Ra’i, warned during its meeting on Saturday of the grave repercussions of rapid developments in Hadramout and Mahra provinces, describing them as a direct threat to Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In an official statement, the House’s Presidium condemned what it termed “organized chaos” in “the occupied southeastern provinces” (controlled by Saudi-led coalition), denouncing the looting of public resources, road blockades, and the targeting of property belonging to citizens from northern provinces.

The Presidium expressed its categorical rejection of these acts, labeling them as attempts to implement “suspicious separatist agendas.”

Furthermore, the parliamentary leadership called upon the residents of those regions to unite and thwart conspiracies aimed at tearing the national fabric. The statement concluded by emphasizing that aligning with such disruptive schemes would lead to dire consequences for the security and stability of the entire country.
