Israeli occupation forces launch wide arrest campaign in West Bank, Quds, detaining 40 Palestinians

OCCUPIED WEST BANK, Dec. 17 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched a widespread campaign of arrests and field interrogations across various parts of the occupied West Bank and Quds city (Jerusalem) from yesterday evening until Wednesday morning.

The campaign resulted in the detention of 40 Palestinians, including a child and former prisoners.

The raids focused mainly on the governorates of Salfit, Jenin, and Bethlehem, while remaining arrests were distributed across Ramallah, Nablus, Tulkarm, and Hebron.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that the raids included deliberate destruction of property, assaults on detainees and their families, and the use of field interrogation policies to intimidate citizens.

This campaign is part of a fixed policy adopted by the occupation. The total number of arrest cases in the West Bank since the start of the “war of genocide” on the Gaza Strip has risen to approximately 21,000 cases. This coincides with the martyrdom of 1,097 Palestinians and the injuring of about 11,000 others in the West Bank and Quds areas.
