Saudi Arabia attacks STC, “Republican Guards,” accusing them of planning to overthrow its allies

RIYADH, Nov. 25 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia launched a fierce attack on the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and the so-called “Republican Guards” factions led by Tariq Saleh on the western coast, accusing them of media coordination and planning to overthrow the so-called “Yemeni legitimacy” aligned with Riyadh.

This attack was voiced by Saudi activist Ali Al-Arishi in a post on the X platform, where he indicated that the declared media coordination between the two parties, led by “Abdulaziz Sheikh” and “Nabil Al-Soufi,” aims to “weaken and dismantle the legitimacy” to pass “small projects” that serve the ambitious components’ agendas at the expense of the Yemeni state.

Al-Arishi pointed out that this coordination might expand in the future, stressing that “external will” from entities with clear objectives in Yemen succeeds in passing what it wants, even if temporarily, despite the significant contradictions between the agendas of the STC and the republican guards.
