Al-Murtadha accuses other side of obstructing efforts to complete prisoner swap

SANAA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – Head of Sanaa’s National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs Abdul Qader Al-Murtadha accused the other side of stalling and obstructing efforts to resolve the prisoner issue, saying political considerations and efforts to appease Riyadh had been prioritized over humanitarian concerns.

Al-Murtadha said the other side had focused mainly on identifying and selecting Saudi prisoners, noting that only 580 prisoners had been identified from the lists it had submitted.

He said efforts were continuing to complete the prisoner exchange and secure the release of all prisoners, stressing that attempts to delay the process or create obstacles would not prevent efforts to resolve the issue.
