GAZA, Nov. 10 (YPA) – Hamas movement accused on Monday the Israeli occupation of committing widespread and systematic violations of the ceasefire deal signed in Sharm el-Sheikh, a month after it came into effect.
In a news statement, the movement affirmed its full commitment to the terms of the agreement, calling on mediators and guarantor states to intervene urgently “to compel the occupation to cease its violations.”
The statement documented the killing of 271 Palestinians, including 107 children and 39 women, during the first month of the agreement, noting that more than 91% of the victims were civilians.
It confirmed that 622 were wounded 35 Palestinians, including fishermen and civilians were arrested also in the flagrant violation of the deal.
The Hamas statement pointed to Israeli restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid and fuel to no more than 40% of what was agreed upon, the closure of the main Zikim crossing for Jordanian aid, and the prevention of UNRWA from operating freely.
It noted that the occupation has not committed to restarting the power plant and is preventing the entry of construction materials and tents, in addition to closing the Rafah crossing in both directions.
The statement accused also the occupation’s leaders of openly inciting a resumption of aggression and voting to change the name of the war to “The War of Resurrection”.
It affirmed the resistance factions’ full and precise commitment to the agreement, noting the handover of 20 live Israeli prisoners and the recovery of 24 bodies out of 28.
The movement held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the continued violations and any potential collapse of the agreement.
The statement called on mediators to take action for halting the killings and violations, adhering the occupation forces to the withdrawal line, allowing the entry of aid and fuel, and opening the Rafah and Zikim crossings.
