SANAA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) in Sanaa approved on Tuesday the referral of 30 defendants in seven corruption cases to the specialized Public Funds Prosecution.
The authority clarified that the financial damages in these cases amounted to 188 million and 950 thousand Yemeni Riyals (YR 188,950,000). The corruption incidents in these cases included harming the interests of the state, embezzlement, illicit appropriation and facilitating the seizure of public funds, forgery, exploitation of influence, and manipulation of public plans/schemes.
The referral aims to complete the necessary procedures and file criminal charges against the defendants before the Public Funds and Anti-Corruption Court.
