SANAA, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdul Wahid Abu Ras, sent on Saturday a congratulatory cable to Yemeni expatriates around the world on the occasion of “Yemeni Expatriates Day,” which falls on October 10.
In the cable, Abu Ras praised the prominent role of expatriates in presenting a positive image of Yemen and its civilization and strengthening relations with expatriate countries.
He commended their role during the aggression against Yemen in conveying the injustices being suffered by the people, stressing that this annual celebration is an appreciation of their contributions to the service of the nation.
The minister also commended the honorable stances of expatriates on the Palestinian cause, their rejection of the genocide crimes in Gaza, and their steadfast participation in events supporting the Palestinian people, considering this stance an extension of the steadfast and principled position of the Republic of Yemen.
Abu Ras concluded by wishing for the well-being, victory, and prosperity of expatriates and Yemen.
