Yemeni air defenses shoot down Saudi ‘Wing Loong II’ drone over Marib

SANAA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – Yemeni air defenses shot down a Saudi armed reconnaissance drone early this morning over the Marib governorate, according to a military statement.

Military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said in an official statement that the Yemeni Armed Forces shot down a Chinese-made ‘Wing Loong II’ unmanned aerial vehicle operated by Saudi forces while it was carrying out hostile missions over the province of Marib.

The drone was downed using an appropriate weapon, he added.
