GAZA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – A Palestinian man died from wounds sustained in an Israeli bombardment northwest of Gaza City last night, while several others were injured in continued Israeli shelling and gunfire across the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
In Gaza City, Mahmoud al-Madhoun succumbed to injuries sustained in an Israeli strike on the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of the city, last night. Five other Palestinians were injured in the attack.
Israeli occupation forces continued shelling, firing and demolishing homes across several areas of the Gaza Strip. In the north, Israeli forces carried out demolitions and detonated an explosive-laden robot packed with tons of explosives to destroy the remaining Palestinian homes east of Gaza City.
In the eastern Shuja’iyya neighborhood, Israeli forces detonated two explosive-laden robots, while military vehicles opened fire east of the Tuffah neighborhood. Artillery shelling also targeted eastern areas of Gaza City.
The powerful explosions caused by demolitions east of the city also led to the partial collapse of a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles fired heavy weapons north of the Bureij refugee camp.
In the south, Israeli naval vessels opened fire and launched several shells into the sea off Rafah, while helicopter gunfire targeted western areas of the city. Israeli artillery also fired toward tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the al-Mawasi area, west of Rafah.
