Russia’s Defense Ministry: 251 Ukrainian drones destroyed overnight

MOSCOW, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Russia’s defense ministry said on Monday that its air defense units destroyed 251 Ukrainian drones overnight the majority over the countries southwest.

In a statement, the ministry confirmed that  40 drones were intercepted over Crimea, 34 over the Kursk region, 30 over Belgorod, and 20 over the Nizhny Novgorod region, Caliber.

Seventeen drones were shot down over Voronezh, 11 over the Krasnodar region, and 8 each over Bryansk and Tula.

Four were destroyed over Ryazan, while two were downed over each of the Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Tambov, and Oryol regions. One drone was reportedly intercepted over the Lipetsk region and another over the Moscow area.

In addition, air defense units destroyed 62 drones over the Black Sea and five more over the Sea of Azov, the ministry said.
