Huckabee describes Zionist settlers’ violence against Palestinians as criminal terrorist

RAMALLAH, Sept. 05 (YPA) – US ambassador to Israeli occupation Mike Huckabee has described violence by Zionist settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank as criminal and terrorist, affirming Palestinians’ right to live in safety and security.

Huckabee made the remarks during a press conference held in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, after hearing testimonies from Palestinian-American citizens about the challenges they face in their daily lives, including threats to their homes and property.

He said deliberately creating an environment in which residents feel unsafe inside their homes or while using their property, coupled with intimidation, falls under the concept of terrorism, whether under the legal definition or otherwise.

Huckabee described settler violence as criminal and terrorist, stressing that the United States would continue to affirm the right of residents of these communities to live in safety and security.

He further stressed that the Israeli government bears responsibility for ensuring and protecting that right.
