Two Israeli soldiers killed, others wounded in Gaza ambush

GAZA, July 21 (YPA) – Israeli media outlets reported on Monday the death of at least two soldiers and the injury of two others in a serious ambush inside the city of Deir al-Balah of the Gaza Strip.

In a related development, footage was circulated by settlers on social media showing a military helicopter evacuating several injured soldiers from the Deir al-Balah incursion area.

They were then quickly transported to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba for treatment.

The Israeli security establishment has yet to release official details about the operation describing it as a “security incident,” reflecting the tension and media secrecy surrounding its background.
