Iran calls on UN Human Rights Council to condemn US aggression

GENEVA, June 24 (YPA) – Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ali Bahreini, calling on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to condemn the US military aggression against the Iranian territories.

This came in a letter was sent to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, on Monday, warning of a US military attack on facilities under International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards in Iran and demanding also that the agency take an immediate stance against this blatant aggression.

The letter stated that the armed attack the United States launched on July 23 against the nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan constituted deliberate participation in the crime of aggression committed by the Zionist entity.

“The targeted facilities are the fruit of decades of national scientific efforts and national investment, and a symbol of the Iranian people’s sovereign right to benefit from technological progress,” the letter added.
