“Hadramout Conference” condemns repression against Journalists, activists by pro-coalition authorities
HADRAMOUT, June 02 (YPA) -The Saudi-affiliated “Inclusive Hadramout Conference” condemned the policies of repression, persecution, and arbitrary measures against journalists and activists due to their work under authorities loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in the province.
In a statement issued on Monday, the conference denounced the legal complaints filed by pro-coalition authorities before the Specialized Criminal Prosecution against activists Sabri Salmeen bin Mukhshen, Abduljabbar Omar Bajabeer, Muzahim Abubakr Bajaber, Badr Nasser Al-Mashjari, and Rami Abdullah Al-Jaberi
The statement attributed the intimidation and repression of activists to their role in highlighting the concerns and demands of the citizens. It held the security authorities fully responsible—both legally and ethically—for the safety of the activists and journalists.
The statement called for an immediate halt to all forms of harassment and summonses, describing them as blatant violations of press freedoms.
