SANAA, June 02 (YPA) – The city of Assifi, western Morocco, witnessed a protest against the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The protesters embodied the suffering of the family of Palestinian doctor Alaa Al-Najjar, who lost her husband and nine of her children in an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip last week.
The protest was organized by the Moroccan Initiative for Support and Advocacy (non-governmental), during which dozens of participants carried Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Israel slogans.
The protest included slogans such as: “We swear by God Almighty that we will not abandon Palestine” and “We are all ready to sacrifice for steadfast Gaza.”
The protest also embodied the suffering of the Al-Najjar family, as they placed models representing the bodies of nine of her children, wearing blood-stained robes.
On May 25, the Palestinian pediatrician was shocked when the bodies of nine of her children arrived at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis (south) while she was working there.
Last Saturday, Alaa’s husband, Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar, died of his injuries, while their only remaining child, Adam, is still receiving treatment after being injured in the same Israeli raid.
