SANAA, May 22 (YPA) – US Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, announced the killing of two employees at the Israeli embassy near the Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.
American and Israeli media claimed that the shooter at the entity’s employees in Washington was wearing a keffiyeh and shouted, “Freedom for Palestine.”
According to American media, the two employees, a man and a woman, were shot and killed in an area near the museum, which was hosting a reception for young diplomats at the time, organized by the American Jewish Committee.
Washington Police Chief Pamela Smith said the suspect in the shooting is Elias Rodriguez, 30, from Chicago.
Smith added that the suspect was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by police, according to the American ABC News network.
The American administration and the entity’s authorities tried to portray the incident as having anti-Semitic motives, appealing to public opinion that Jews are victims of violence, in an attempt to cover up the Zionist crimes and massacres in Gaza, which have left more than 185,000 martyrs, wounded, and missing in 20 months.
