Italy calls on Israel to stop the bloody war on Gaza

SANAA, May 17 (YPA) – Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Taiani, called on Saturday for an end to the bloody Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, saying, “We can no longer bear to see the suffering of the Palestinian people. Enough of the attacks on Gaza.”

In statements reported by his spokesman during a visit to Sicily in the south of the country, Tayani said, addressing Israel, “Let us reach a ceasefire. You have responded, guarantee your independence and security, so we can release the detainees, but let us achieve peace.”

Despite the growing international condemnation of the bloody way in which the war is being conducted, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the occupation army will enter the Gaza Strip “with all its might” in the coming days to complete the defeat of Hamas.
