GAZA, May 17 (YPA) – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced, on Saturday, the killing and wounding of a number of occupation army soldiers in an armed clash with its fighters east of Gaza City.
Al-Qassam said in a brief military statement: “After their return from the battle lines, our mujahideen confirmed a direct clash with machine guns with a Zionist force barricaded inside a house on Al-Nazaz Street, east of the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.”
It added that the clash took place on May 12, and that its fighters monitored the injury and death of two soldiers from the targeted force.
On Tuesday, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that it had bombed Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot, and settlements on the Gaza Strip, with missile salvoes.
Since the occupation army resumed its war of extermination on March 18, the Palestinian resistance has succeeded in carrying out several powerful ambushes against the occupation army forces penetrating into the Gaza Strip, which led to the death and injury of many soldiers.
According to Israeli occupation army data, 850 soldiers have been killed since October 7, 2023, including 410 since the start of the ground attack on Gaza on the 27th of the same month.
Contrary to the announced numbers, the Israeli occupation army is accused of concealing the true numbers of its loss of life, especially while ignoring numerous announcements by Palestinian factions to carry out operations and ambushes against its members, which they confirm result in deaths and injuries.
