US airstrikes endanger passenger plane in Sanaa

SANAA, April 21 (YPA) – A Yemeni Airlines plane was exposed to significant risks as it approached Sanaa International Airport on Sunday evening, coinciding with airstrikes carried out by US warplanes targeting several areas in the capital, Sanaa.

US bombers launched intensive airstrikes on Sunday evening, targeting the Farwa neighborhood and a popular market in the Shu’ub district, resulting in 43 deaths and injuries, according to statements by the Health Ministry.

The airstrikes also targeted the Attan area and the cleaning program project in the Asr area.

Despite the air strikes, the Yemeni Airlines plane coming from the Jordanian capital, Amman, managed to safely land at Sanaa International Airport. There were more than 300 passengers on board, most of them women and children.
