GAZA, April 16 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces assassinated Palestinian photographer Fatima Hassouna in a bombing that targeted her home in Gaza City, killing her and 10 members of her family.
Hassouna had been documenting the crimes of genocide since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip, which has so far left 51,000 martyrs and 116,343 wounded since October 7, 2023.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces’ artillery shelled the outskirts of Al-Bureij camp and the Al-Da’wa area northeast of Al-Nuseirat camp, without recording any injuries.
In the south, medical sources reported that a Palestinian died of his wounds from previous shelling that targeted the town of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis, while two others were injured when a fishing boat was targeted off the coast of Al-Mawasi, west of the city.
The town of Al-Fakhari, east of Khan Yunis, witnessed an airstrike that targeted a house in the Al-Amour neighborhood, coinciding with artillery shelling on the Al-Manara neighborhood, south of the city.
In Rafah, Israeli forces continued to destroy residential buildings amid gunfire from helicopters in the city’s skies.
