Yemeni forces target US warships in Red Sea, Zionist military targets in occupied Yaffa
SANAA, March 26 (YPA) -In a significant escalation, the Yemeni Armed forces have carried out targeted strikes on enemy warships in the Red Sea, including the American aircraft carrier ‘Truman,’ as well as military objectives in the occupied city of Yaffa. This operation marks the 10th anniversary of National Resilience Day, March 26th, and reflects a strategy of confronting escalation with escalation.
The Yemeni Armed Forces issued the following statement:
“In response to the American aggression against our country, and on the 10th anniversary of the National Day of Steadfastness, March 26, and in the context of confronting escalation with escalation:
The missile force, the drone air force, and the naval forces have jointly carried out a military operation over the past hours, targeting hostile warships in the Red Sea — foremost among them, the American aircraft carrier Truman, from which aggression against our country is being launched.
The confrontation and engagement continued for several hours, and as of the time of this statement, the Armed Forces are actively confronting the aggression and responsibly managing various developments within the area of operations.
In solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, and in continued support for them, the drone air force earlier targeted “Israeli” enemy military sites in the area of occupied Yaffa with several drones. The operation successfully achieved its goals, by the grace of Allah.
The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm the following:
– Continued resistance against American aggression and confrontation of escalation with escalation.
– Continued ban on “Israeli” navigation within the previously declared area of operations, and ongoing operations against the “Israeli” enemy until the aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted.
– A call to all free people of our [Arab and Islamic] nation to rise and act to stop the genocide being committed against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.”
