3 prayers killed, 6 others injured in armed attack targeted mosque in Hama countryside of Syria

SANAA, March 03 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on worshippers in the town of Hayalin in the Hama countryside on Sunday evening, killing three and wounding six, according to an initial toll.

Local residents reported that the attack occurred while residents were on their way to perform the Taraweh prayer.

According to the residents, the martyrs included Muhammad Youssef Al-Dhaiban, Jaafar Al-Dhaiban, and Ali Amin Al-Mashouj, while the injured included Ali Al-Saloum, who was seriously injured, Mu’taman Faisal Al-Anad, Ismail, Ahmed Al-Dhaiban, Mustafa Al-Bakri, and Sultan Al-Raslan.

In this context, security forces brought reinforcements to the area and deployed to pursue the attackers.

In the Hama countryside, the bodies of two people working in the cumin trade were found in the village of Tal Maskin, in the city’s countryside, in addition to two people being injured by unknown gunmen on the Jableh-Latakia road.
