HADRAMOUT, March 03 (YPA) – A popular angry protest rally was stage on Sunday in the city of Mukalla in Hadramout province against the increasing power outages in the city, which is experiencing a severe heat wave.
Local sources said dozens of angry protesters blocked a number of city streets in protest against also the collapse of essential services, demanding the departure of the coalition forces.
The sources added that the protests chatting slogan holding the Saudi-UAE coalition responsible for the collapse of services.
The coalition-held areas of Yemen are suffering from multiple crises as a result of the economic collapse, especially the decline of the local currency against foreign currencies, which is leading to the exacerbation of poverty and the lack of services in the basic sectors, most notably electricity and water services, in addition to the security chaos, amid the coalition-backed Aden government evading its responsibility to address the living crises facing citizens in the south and east of Yemen.
