Protest in Mukalla demands immediate release of abducted Bassam Bahashwan

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The city of Mukalla witnessed in support of the abducted Bassam Bahashwan, who was kidnapped more than two months ago without any knowledge of his place of detention or the charges against him, by the UAE-backed forces.

Bahashwan’s family and participants in the protest, demanded his immediate release, emphasizing that his abduction was carried out in an arbitrary manner and in violation of laws and norms.

In a statement issued during the protest, the demonstrators called on the local and international community to take immediate action to end the suffering of the abducted man and his family.

They demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Bassam Bahashwan and the cessation of all forms of oppression against him.

Hadramout governorate is experiencing unprecedented security chaos due to the presence of occupation forces and the ongoing conflict among various factions loyal to Saudi-led  coalition over the oil-rich province.
