Two earthquakes strike Yemen’s areas

DHAMAR, Feb. 12 (YPA) –Two earthquakes of magnitude 3.1 and 1.5 on the Richter scale the Richter scale struck on Sunday areas of the provinces of Dhamar and Bayda.

Head of the monitoring center, Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, confirmed that the earthquakes were the result of energy accumulation on fault lines due to pressure resulting from the continuous movement generated by the expansion areas of tectonic plates in the western part of the Gulf of Aden.
