Local official survives near-fatal accident in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 13 (YPA) – A senior official in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition escaped on Thursday certain death following a traffic accident in the Al-Khasha’ area on the Al-Abr road in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

According to media sources aligned with the coalition, the so-called “Deputy Governor of Jawf province,” Naji Maseeh, was involved in a car accident while returning with his wife from a medical trip to Cairo, amid allegations suggesting that the incident may have been premeditated.

The reports indicated that a collision involving two heavy transport trucks and Maseeh’s vehicle resulted in injuries to his family members and big damage to the car.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Khasha’ area falls under the control of the “First Military Region,” affiliated with the Islah Party, in Hadramout province.
