Foreign currency prices continue to rise in Aden, southeastern Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – Foreign currency prices continue to rise as the Yemeni riyal collapses in Aden and southeastern Yemen, affecting the economy and the lives of citizens.

The dollar price in Aden on Thursday reached 2,379 Yemeni riyals for sale and 2,346 riyals for purchase, while the Saudi riyal reached 622 riyals for sale and 615 riyals for purchase, an increase of 20 riyals for the dollar and 10 riyals for the Saudi riyal within 24 hours.

Since the beginning of February, the dollar has risen by about 270 riyals and the Saudi riyal by more than 50 riyals.

Observers have warned of the continuation of this deterioration, as it threatens the economy and increases the suffering of citizens with the rise in prices in the region.

In Sanaa, exchange rates remained stable thanks to the financial and banking measures implemented by the Central Bank to ensure rate stability.

The bank issued a circular today, February 13, 2025, outlining the official foreign exchange rates as follows:

Saudi riyal to Yemeni riyal = 140 Yemeni riyals.

US dollar to Yemeni riyal = 530.50 Yemeni riyals.

US dollar to Saudi riyal = 3.79 Saudi riyals per dollar.
