GAZA, Feb. 07 (YPA) – The Palestinian resistance movement “Hamas” has called for an emergency Arab summit to reject the displacement of Palestinians, in response to US President Donald Trump’s plan to seize the Gaza Strip.
This came in a statement issued by the movement hours after Trump’s statements, in which he said that “Israel will hand over the Gaza Strip to the United States when the fighting ends,” in reference to the genocidal war that Tel Aviv has been waging against the Palestinians for more than 15 months.
Hamas stated that “Trump’s statements are absolutely unacceptable, and Gaza belongs to its people and they will not leave it,” and called for “an emergency Arab summit to confront the displacement project.”
The movement referred to the US President’s recent statements, saying that “Trump’s talk about Washington taking over the Gaza Strip is a declared will to occupy the Strip.”
It continued, “We do not need any state to run the Gaza Strip, and we do not accept replacing one occupation with another,” in reference to the exchange of roles between Israel and the United States.
