ADEN, Feb. 05 (YPA) -The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has called on the Saudi-led coalition to lift the immunity from the officials loyal to it.
Fadl Al-Jaadi, a member of the STC’s presidency, stated that the first step in combating corruption begins with abolishing the so-called “immunity law” for senior officials in the pro-coalition- government, of which the STC is a partner.
In a post on the platform “X,” Al-Jaadi described the law, which he called notorious, as a protector of corruption.
He called on the presidency and members of “Presidential Leadership Council,” who are accused of corruption, to take what he termed a “bold step.”
