Militants attack military leader’s house in Abyan

ABYAN, Jan. 21 (YPA) – A violent explosion rocked on Tuesday the city of Lawdar in Abyan province, which is under coalition control, in southern Yemen.

Local sources in the city said that unknown gunmen targeted the home of a military leader, whose name was not mentioned, with a booby-trapped motorcycle in the city.

The sources explained that the explosion was followed by heavy gunfire and the human and material losses resulting from the explosion were not disclosed.

The Saudi-funded factions, known as Dera al-Waten forces, had been deployed in the district during the past months.
