Meteorology expects cold wave sweeping some areas of Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Tuesday a cold wave sweeping some areas of Yemen.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the cold weather may hit the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda, in addition to Mahweet, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Dhalea, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.

It pointed out that the weather in the coastal areas would be partly cloudy with the possibility of light and scattered rain on parts of the eastern and southern coasts, while the winds may be active at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, the western coasts, the Gulf of Aden and the Socotra Archipelago.

The center warned citizens in the highlands of cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
