SHABWA, Dec. 09 (YPA) – A citizen was injured on Monday in armed clashes that broke out south of the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa province, which is under the control of the UAE-backed factions.
Tribal clashes took place in the Al-Saeed district between gunmen from the Al-Yaslam bin Dahha tribe and the pro-UAE factions and resulted in the injury of a citizen called ‘Lasour Al-Madhaji,’ according to informed sources in the province.
The sources accused the UAE-backed factions of fueling the tribal conflicts.
This comes after previous incidents last week in Ataq, where armed tribesmen clashed with the Al-Jazea and Al-Marfad Al-Maraziq tribes, resulting in the injury of the traffic director’s son, Hussein Shaniter.
