SANAA, Dec. 07 (YPA) – Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi considered the continuation of the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition’s ban on Sanaa International Airport and flight restrictions as a violation of international and humanitarian laws and treaties.
This came during his participation in an event held on Saturday by the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology on the occasion of the International Civil Aviation Day, December 7, which highlighted the ongoing aggression against Yemeni civilian airports in violation of international laws, treaties, and conventions.
The Prime Minister referred to the continuous bombing of Sanaa International Airport by the coalition since March 26, 2015, and the ongoing efforts made to restore its readiness.
Al-Rahwi stressed that “the aggression coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, must completely lift the ban on Sanaa International Airport,” explaining that the situation today has changed, as “Yemen today has the power to extract its legitimate rights.”
He stated that “the Americans, British, and Israelis do not want the region to calm down and will only leave it if the nation wakes up and realizes the truth about its enemies’ plans.”
The Prime Minister urged the Ministry of Transport and the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology to make more efforts to completely lift the blockade on Sanaa International Airport.
