Amnesty International: Israel commits genocide in Gaza Strip

WORLD, Dec. 05 (YPA) -Human rights organisation Amnesty International stated in a report released on Thursday, that Israel has committed a genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The organization expressed hope that the report would serve as a warning to the international community for urgent action.

It pointed out that its research has gathered sufficient evidence proving that Israel has committed, and continues to commit, genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

The report, titled Amnesty International’s report, titled You Feel Like You Are Subhuman: Israel’s Genocide Against Palestinians in Gaza, said Israel’s military offensive was “unprecedented” in magnitude, scale and duration.

The report added that these actions have continued systematically, with complete impunity, during the ongoing Israeli military assault for more than a year.

Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s secretary general, said Israel had carried out acts prohibited under the Genocide Convention, with the “specific intent” to destroy Palestinians in Gaza.

“Month after month, Israel has treated Palestinians in Gaza as a subhuman group unworthy of human rights and dignify, demonstrating its intent to physically destroy them,” she added.
