Two int’l medical conferences kick off in Sanaa

SANAA, Nov. 05 (YPA) – The 16th Annual Heart Center Conference and the 7th Cardiac Diagnostic Imaging Conference kicked off in the capital Sanaa on Tuesday.

The three-day conferences, with the participation of 1,200 consultants and specialists from various provinces of Yemen, and also from Britain, Italy, India and Egypt, will discuss a number of working papers and scientific lectures that shed light on the latest developments in cardiac disease, catheterization, anatomy, electrocardiography, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

At the opening, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, a member of the Supreme Political Council, praised everyone who contributed to organizing the 16th edition of the conference, noting the efforts of all doctors, consultants, specialists and medical staff who devote all their time to serving humanity in light of the exceptional circumstances Yemen is going through.

Dr. bin Habtoor pointed out that scientific conferences have not stopped in the capital, Sanaa, and the continuation of doctors at Sanaa University, September 21 University, other universities, central hospitals and others, where everyone is competing for an idea and scientific research to develop and keep pace with everything new in various practical and medical fields.

“We are living in the tenth year of siege and aggression, and patients are basically the most affected by the air blockade,” he said, “pointing out the difficulties patients face when going to Aden city, south of Yemen, or Seiyun airport of Hadramout to travel to receive treatment, and most of them died due to suffering on the road and other things.

Bin Habtoor greeted the doctors who endure the trouble of traveling from other provinces to participate in scientific conferences in Sanaa because they have worked and are working for humanity and are making efforts to serve patients.

He touched on what the people of Gaza are being subjected to, saying, “This morning, a hospital in the Gaza Strip was subjected to direct aggression with various types of weapons, arrogance and manifestations of savagery by the usurping entity.”

“The people of Gaza are being killed in hospitals because of the brutality of the Zionists, America and Europe who brag about human rights,” Dr. Bin Habtoor added. There are more than 42 thousand martyrs, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip under the sight and hearing of the Arab Zionist rulers.”

The two conferences were organized by the Heart Center at the General Revolution Hospital Authority in Sanaa, in cooperation with the Medical Council.
