China: We will work to develop cooperation with Iran regardless of international situation

MOSCOW, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Chinese President Xi Jinping said, “China will work to develop friendly cooperation with Iran, regardless of changes in the international and regional situation.”

During a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the BRICS summit in the Russian city of Kazan, the Chinese President stressed that “China supports Iran in protecting its national sovereignty, security, and dignity and steadily promoting its social and economic development.”

President Jinping explained, “China is ready to work with Iran, provide mutual support, and uphold the basic standards governing international relations, such as non-interference in internal affairs and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of both countries.”

The Chinese President emphasized China’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Iran in various fields, promote the healthy and stable development of their comprehensive strategic partnership, and bring more benefits to their respective peoples.
