Meteorology issues statement on weather changes in Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Thursday clear to partly cloudy weather most Yemeni provinces.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that there is a possible chance of rain in parts of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Dhalea, Ibb, Rayma, Hajjah, Mahweet, Saada and the Tihama highlands.

It stated that the desert areas of Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwa, Jawf and Marib will have clear to partly cloudy weather, with scattered rains and the moderate winds.

The center warned citizens in areas where rain may expected to fall from staying in valleys and flood paths during and after rain.

The forecast called on motorists to drive carefully on mountainous roads and slopes as a result of the poor horizontal visibility due to dense low clouds and fog formation.
