Intense Israeli airstrikes target Beirut’s southern suburb

BEIRUT, Oct. 21 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army launched last night bombing campaign targeting several residential buildings in Beirut southern suburb, Dahiyeh.

Th Zionist airstrikes targeted the al-Qard al-Hassan branches in the neighborhoods of Hayy al-Salam, Burj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik, and Chiyah.

The Israeli aircraft executed more than 11 strikes, one of which hit a branch belonging to Al-Qard al-Hassan on the airport road, close to Rafic Hariri International Airport.

Dr. Hazem Khadr Badi, the mayor of Sidon, announced a series of precautionary measures in collaboration with the acting governor of the South, Dr. Houda Turk, and local security forces.

This decision came in response to threats from the Israeli enemy regarding potential attacks on al-Qard al-Hassan branches in Lebanon.

He stated that he had given orders for the immediate evacuation of the Sidon municipality building, the municipal police headquarters, and the joint operations center to aid those displaced from southern Lebanon.

Additionally, he instructed the evacuation of two centers accommodating displaced persons near Bank Street and coordinated their transfer to two facilities located away from that area.
