Hamas calls on PA’s leadership to stop persecuting resistance fighters in West Bank

GAZA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Hamas movement affirmed on Saturday that the suppression of Palestinian resistance fighters in the occupied West Bank by the security services of the Palestine’s Authority (PA)warns of a dangerous level and requires a serious stance.

The movement said in a statement that the suppression of citizens by the “authority’s apparatuses” on the basis of their demands to stop its actions against children and its continued detention of political fugitives and detainees, is a dangerous transgression and a new blow to the national and societal fabric, and complete compliance with the Israeli occupation’s aggression and brutality against the Palestinian people.

The statement described the practices of the PA security services as “shameful at a fateful and sensitive time in the history of Palestine’s cause, with the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza and the West Bank continuing.

“What is happening in the West Bank requires a national stance from the PA leadership that leans towards protecting our people, “not suppressing and abusing them, it added.

The statement called for the leadership of the Fatah movement and the PA’s leadership of the Authority to immediately and completely stop its persecutions and attacks from targeting the resistance fighters and expediting the release of political detainees.

It called on all factions, forces, and legal and human rights bodies to stand up to the practices of the Authority’s apparatuses, due to their dangerous repercussions on Palestine society and its cause.
